I received a lot of mail after I wrote the article ‘Get Rich on the Net’. People complained that the article did not have practical tips! I thought it was full of practical tips but I guess most people would like me to spell out things in Black and White. O.K. here is the stuff that can make you money. You got to, of course, do it yourself. I can’t do it for you. That would not really be possible or practical!
In this article , I will discuss on the rudimentary outline on how to develop a stream of income through Google adSense and adWords opportunity and through affiliate programs. It will require some effort on your part but I promise you , you will make decent money , if your keep at it and make the effort. This is an easy way to create a part time job and to work from home.


Let us get to the big boys …. Guys and gals who want to make serious money say USD 20 to USD 100 a day. This will require some more practical thinking. You must read the article ‘Get Rich on the Net’ carefully , especially the part about the adSense and adWords program to make use of the practical suggestions , I am now going to give.

The net has billions of consumers and millions of websites. But most websites are full of nonsense and useless. So how do we leverage this fact to make money?

Get hold of some information or service or product that is useful. It does not have to be a hot new idea. A hot new idea may make millions but we only want USD 20 to USD 100 a day …Right? This information may be as simple as: How to maintain a garden? Or How to increase the fuel efficiency of a car? Or How to paint? Or something just as simple in which you have some specialized knowledge or can find it, maybe music knowledge, book reviews etc etc . Get a few of these bits of information together and put it up on the net. Create a practical website where people gain some free information. Put up advertisements on the site and people will automatically check them out to find more information. You will then start to make money. Easy isn’t it?

First:
Register a Domain. Domain registration is the first practical thing to be done before you can put up a website. These days there are very cheap domains available for as little as USD 5 to USD 15 a year. Block a good descriptive name such as: mysupergarden.com ( if it has not already been taken by some one else. This is only an example) You may also consider .org or .net or .in or .pk or .us etc as a alternative although dot com is still the most popular domain registration. Explore websites offering this service. Read the fine print. Some offer registration free for one year, so go for it. It is hardly an expense and gives you a foothold on the web. A foothold so necessary, to working from home.


Second:
Buy or block some space on some good internet server to host your website. You have to put up your website on some server (computer) connected on the net so you need some space on hire. Most cost as low as USD 20 to USD 150 a year for space as large as 10 Mb to 250 Mb. To start with you need only 10 Mb so go for it. USD 20 in your local currency is certainly low and affordable by everyone. A good hosting server is essential for setting up a good website that stays up all the time. You need to consider the following issues before you pick space from a Web Hosting agency.
Are their servers Windows or Linux based? I suggest Linux. The software is free and very popular for web developers.
What is the maximum bandwidth they allow for the hosting package you want to buy? When someone views your website, data gets transferred between his computer and your server. This costs money and is dependent upon the allowed bandwidth. Make sure you have 250- 500 Mb bandwidth to start with, so that your site does not choke.
Can the web hosting agency offer a database facility? Say Mysql ( for Linux) . This is required for websites who have lot of data like hundreds kinds of seeds for our mysupergarden.com website and want to display same in a dynamic mode. This is not really needed for a static website which has only a few web pages displaying a few pictures and information.
Check out different web hosting packages. Some servers offer free hosting for a while so grab it as a trial. What have you to lose? Nothing really.

Third:
Get the basic idea of a website say mysupergarden.com mapped out. Be clear as to what you want to put in it. Some suggestions could be:
One page could have tips on gardening
The second page could have information and use of different gardening instruments
Third page could talk about different kinds of manures.
And lastly you could give tips about different seasonal flowers.

Fourth:
Get some one to make your website and put it up on the net. There are many free tools available and you can also do it yourself. But to get the professional look, pay some one. A company in India will do it for USD 100 or less while in the United States it could cost up to USD 500 . As the internet is borderless, go for the cheaper option.

Fifth:
Get the website approved by google , yahoo , msn and other big names by submitting it free to them. It may take a month or more for it to be crawled. Once it is crawled by one search engine, the rest will also crawl it quickly and put it in their database. Go to the google or yahoo or msn web site to find the free submission link.


Sixth:
Now register for the google adSense program and google adWords program simultaneously. This is free! Put up the google adSense code on your different pages of the website and check out the targeted advertisements that appear. Google will automatically put relevant targeted advertisements related to the content of your website. As visitors click on these advertisements or banners ( through affiliate programs). You will start making money. Seek more information by exploring various money making opportunities and grab money making tips and apply them for free on your website. The money making possibility is in making optimum use of the opportunity provided by google adSense. All you need is a high quality website and traffic. In order to succeed you need to be well read and apply a little common sense. Google adSense is for getting advertisements while adWords is used to get people to your site. So both are important for you . Never miss a chance to get free money making information.

Seventh:
Drive traffic to your website by using the google adWords program or register at a cheap affiliate marketing company as a Merchant. Submit your sites to various relevant directories and generate traffic. Link exchanges with similar websites can also help in generating traffic. You can normally buy quality traffic for as little as USD 50 at places like affiliate curry or click galore etc. Again, I will request you to register for free at Google adSense , adWords, relevant blogs and and read up as much free information you can find.

Eight:

Study the advertisement conversion rates and check the money rolling in. As people visit your site and find stuff they like and need they will click advertisements to seek more information or products that they need. This will generate money for you. Register at some good affiliate programs and put up relevant banners at your site. Most of these registrations are free! These can also make you serious money as your internet traffic increases. Learn internet marketing tips from websites advertising the google programs and boasting how they make millions of dollars. Grab their ideas, use common sense and get going.



In conclusion, on an investment of approximately USD 35 a year and a one time fixed cost of developing the site at USD 100, you could potentially be earning USD 20 to USD 100 a day! The internet is full of opportunities, just find your niche and get a steady stream of income. So get to work and create a part-time job for yourself that will enable you to work from home.
